Autograph note signed : "Head Quarters, Robinson House" [near West Point], to the D[eputy] Q[uarter]master General, 1780 Aug. 25.

Arnold's note, "Please to deliver Mr. Torrey the Above Articles & transport 'em to the landing," is written under an order for the ironsmith signed by H. Torrey, foreman. There is also a note on the verso signed by a Mr. Betts. Arnold's note was written less than a month before his defection to the British.
